The Gubernatorial aspirant of United Democratic Party, UDP, in the last poll in Taraba state, Aisha Jummai Alhassan has declared her support to the leadership of Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku.
Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan who is the former Minister for Ministry of Women Affairs, came with large numbers of her supporters to the Taraba state Government House in Jalingo, said her support was expedient in view of the need for Taabans to close ranks and embrace peace for development to thrive.
The UDP, gubernatorial aspirante congratulated Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku on his victory during the last Governorship Election, attributing it to the will of God Almighty who gives power.
Aisha described Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku as the father of the state, thanking him for the love he shown when she was ill and operated upon in her right leg recently in Dubai and also thanked Taabans for their fervent prayers.
Senator Aisha pledged her support and promised to work closely with the state government if assigned with any task.
Governor Darius Ishaku while responding said, the visit of the UDP aspirant was historical in cognizance of the fact that leadership has a terminal date.
Ishaku said her coming onboard the rescue train is a booster to his administration which will spur him to do more.
The Governor assured Senator Aisha of his administration open door policy and warmly received her and her supporters to the fold of his administration.
The Governor solicited for peace from all Tarabans to enable him carry out the task of developing the state.
In his vote of thanks, the Chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, In the state, Hon. Victor Bala Kona thanked Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan for the visit and urged her to come back to PDP to achieve her political dream and aspirations.
Aisha Jummai Alhassan was a one time Senator Representing Taraba North, under the platform of PDP, gubernatorial candidate and letter, Minister of Women Affairs and social development 2015 to 2018 under the ruling APC and contested the last governorship election along side Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku under the platform of the UDP in the state.
