By Muhammad Ibrahim, Sokoto

The Sokoto State Commissioner for Energy, Alhaji Aliyu Balarabe Dandin Mahe made this known during a workshop organized by the Kaduna Electricity.

The workshop held at Sokoto Guest Inn was attended by location managers, Bill officers and consumers as well.

Balarabe informed the management of the Kaduna Electricity to as a matter of urgency replace the distribution equipment installed years ago when Sokoto was only 35% of the present population.

Jega further said if a complaint is not satisfactorily addressed, customers have a right to escalate the issue to NERC Forum office within the coverage area of the Discos.

Many consumers complained of bills with rocketting amount to be paid for darkness and power no consumed
