Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe recently opened up about her marriage to Kazim Adeoti in an interview with TVC on ‘Your View.’ She expressed her deep affection for her husband and revealed that love led her to change her religion.
Mercy disclosed that she became a Muslim because of her love for Kazim Adeoti, emphasizing that there is enough love to share with his first wife. Describing herself as a ‘lover girl,’ she admitted that her experiences have been challenging, but her love for her husband motivated her actions.
The actress shared that love came calling, and she appreciated the strong connection they had as friends. She expressed confidence in her decision, feeling in her guts that Kazim was the right person for her.
Regarding her senior wife, Mercy conveyed that there is ample love for her too. She stressed that she loves her husband deeply, highlighting the sacrifices she made for love.
In explaining her conversion to Islam, Mercy mentioned that her husband gave her the name Hajia Minnah, which means Mercy – a gift from Allah. Despite the criticism they faced, Mercy Aigbe and Kazim Adeoti’s love has endured, with the actress embracing her new faith and even going on Hajj with her husband.
Reflecting on the lessons learned from her husband, Mercy Aigbe shared that she has acquired knowledge about prayer and giving. She acknowledged that she is still in the learning process of her new religion.
