Minister Designate, Labour And Employment, Simon Lalong Recieves Prayers At Catholic Church Of Assumption Asokoro

Ahead of his official inauguration as Minister of Labour and Employment on Monday by President Bola Tinubu, Minister Designate Simon Bako Lalong has received special prayers at the Catholic Church of the Assumption, Asokoro Abuja.

Lalong who was at the Mass with his wife Mrs Regina and children, took the opportunity to offer thanksgiving to God for his faithfuness and protection throughout his journey in life.

With the new assignment he will soon assume, Lalong and his family received special blessings from John Cardinal Onaiyekan who also charged him to continue to serve God and make the church proud through quality service and godly conduct.

He urged the appointeee to always put God above any other consideration as public service presents an opportunity for believers to convey not only the message of Christ and his salvation, but also his love to mankind.

Earlier, the homily of the mass was delivered by Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Kanu, OSA who incidentally served at the St. Monica’s Catholic Church Jos the home church of Simon Lalong for many years.
