Mohbad’s Widow, Wunmi, Speaks After Pathologist Says Cause of Singer’s Death Could Not Be Ascertained

Wunmi Aloba, the widow of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has broken her silence following the pathologist’s statement that the cause of her husband’s death remains unknown.

Mohbad passed away under suspicious circumstances on September 12, 2023. In response to public outcry for justice, his body was exhumed on September 21 for an autopsy.

During a coroner’s inquest on May 15, the pathologist reported that the 27-year-old singer’s body had significantly deteriorated by the time of testing, making it impossible to determine the exact cause of death. A witness at the hearing also testified about the singer’s troubles with Sam Larry and Wunmi.

Expressing her grief, Wunmi, who is the mother of Mohbad’s son, posted a blank, dark page on her Instagram Stories. She also shared a photo of Mohbad with the caption: “Ilerioluwa masun (do not sleep).”
