MSF Celebrates 50 Years, Display Survival Pictures

Celebrating 50 years of humanity at Sokoto Guest Inn, the Medicines Sans Frontiers in collaboration with the state Ministry of Health,displayed pictures portraying different types of sicknesses and lives saved while performing their humanitarian services.

Explaining to press and invited guests, Dr. Ewerem said whatever they do is free and that confidentiality and autonomy are the basic ethics that MSF observed adding that whatever they would do they will explain to the person through showing advocacy pictures to get consent from the persons for them to execute their duties effectively.

He further said one of the key target of MSF of intervention is the nutrition which is a problem in this country especially in this hard times,particularly Borno state where is displaced are more than expected.

In that regard,MSF provide critical care for children that are facing malnutrition alongside the ones with cholera, Lassa fever,affected persons living conditions under displacement, and providing support to those most in need among others.

Dr. Ewerem also said they have variety of tools which when put in use detect the type of sicknesses one is suffering from.

Explaining the largest refugee camp in the world situated at Rohingya in Bangladesh,he said it is 26 square kilometres with over one million refugees.
