NAF Airstrikes Destroy Terrorist Food Depot in Lake Chad, Kill Several Fighters

By   Milcah   Tanimu

On November 23, 2024, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) delivered a strategic blow to terrorist forces in the Lake Chad Basin, destroying a key food depot in Jubillaram. The airstrikes, which also neutralized several fighters, were based on intelligence linking the site to recent terrorist activities.

The operation targeted the food storage facility in the Tumbuns area, a known terrorist stronghold. According to NAF spokesperson, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, the site had been a critical supply point for terrorists and served as a hideout for their commanders.

“The destruction of the depot severely disrupted the terrorists’ operations and logistics, crippling their ability to launch future attacks,” Akinboyewa stated.

The successful strike followed extensive intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) missions that identified the location’s role in facilitating recent assaults on Nigerian troops. NAF emphasized its commitment to national security and vowed to continue operations until all terrorist threats are eliminated.
