The Investigation and Enforcement Directorate of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered illicit activities carried out by a counterfeit cosmetics producer at the Balogun Trade Fair Gate, Trade Fair Complex, Lagos State.
Disclosing this development on its official Twitter handle on Monday, NAFDAC revealed that the fake cosmetics producer, identified as Mr. Pius Effiong Eyoh, is the proprietor of Pasco Global Limited.
Eyoh was apprehended for engaging in the illicit manufacturing, packaging, distribution, and sale of a variety of substandard and counterfeit cosmetic products.
These products included items such as skin balance, perfect knuckle, organic peel therapy, and golden face triple action concentrated perfect skin.

In a related operation, NAFDAC operatives conducted raids on popular supermarkets in Abuja, including Sahad Stores and H-Medix in Wuse 2 and Gwarinpa, uncovering counterfeit products.
Additionally, markets in Garki, Wuse, Utako, Kugbo, Nyanya, and Mararaba were targeted, resulting in the seizure of counterfeit cosmetics and drugs.
During these operations, counterfeit Nivea products, cosmetics, Jik bleach, Harpic toilet cleaner, and Airwick room freshener were confiscated. The total value of the seized goods amounted to ₦50 million, with fake Nivea products alone valued at ₦45 million.
