The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has uncovered an illegal production site for counterfeit alcoholic drinks on Offin Road, Balogun, Lagos Island.

In a statement released by the agency, the discovery was made following a complaint that prompted an investigation.

During the operation, NAFDAC officials found a shop that had been repurposed for the production and packaging of fake alcoholic beverages.

The agency reiterated its commitment to safeguarding public health by clamping down on counterfeit products and urged the public to report suspicious activities involving food and drug violations. Investigations into the case are ongoing.
