Nairaland.com, a prominent Nigerian online discussion forum, experienced an outage on Monday, raising concerns among users who speculated about potential hacking. Regular visitors to the site reported being unable to access it, with some expressing worries over security issues. Users took to social media platforms, seeking information about the situation. The founder, Seun Osewa, confirmed that the site was “taken down” by the host, attributing the action to overlooking a previous abuse report. The error message displayed indicated a ‘Host Error,’ signifying the web server’s failure to establish a connection.
