The Accountant General of Nasarawa State, Dr. Musa Ahmed Mohammed, has congratulated the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Dauda Bage I (Retd.), CFR, on his sixth anniversary on the throne, commending his leadership and contributions to the development of the emirate and the state.
In a statement issued on Friday, Ahmed lauded the Emir’s unwavering commitment to peace, unity, and socio-economic progress, describing his reign as transformative.
“Since His Royal Highness ascended the throne in 2019, the Lafia Emirate has witnessed remarkable growth in various sectors, particularly in fostering social cohesion, education, and economic empowerment,” he stated.
The Accountant General emphasized that Justice Bage’s wealth of experience as a former Supreme Court Justice has brought dignity, fairness, and wisdom to traditional governance, further strengthening the emirate’s role in the state’s progress.
“His Royal Highness is a pillar of wisdom and an advocate for justice, whose leadership continues to promote harmony and stability across the state. His dedication to upholding cultural heritage while embracing modern governance principles is commendable,” Ahmed noted.
While extending his best wishes, Ahmed prayed for continued wisdom, good health, and a prosperous reign for the Emir, expressing confidence in his ability to further drive the advancement of the emirate.
“On this special occasion, I join the people of Nasarawa State in celebrating His Royal Highness and praying for Allah’s guidance and blessings upon him. May his reign continue to inspire growth and progress,” he added.
The Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Dauda Bage I (Retd.), was appointed as the 17th Emir of Lafia on March 26, 2019, following a distinguished judicial career, including his tenure as a Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
