Nasarawa Assembly mourns the death of speaker’s elder brother/retired FCT agency scribe

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, says it is mourning the death of Mallam Salihu Abdullahi, the elder brother to the speaker of the House, RT. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi.

This was contained in a statement issued and signed by the Chairman, House Committee on Information, Hon Mohammed Adamu Omadefu and made available to newsmen in Lafia today.

The statement urged the speaker and the entire family to take solace in God as God gives life and take at will.

” We recieved the death of late Mallam Salihu Abdullahi, the elder brother to our leader, the RT. Hon Speaker with shock.

” On behalf of principal officers, Honourable members and staff of the Assembly, we sympathise with our speaker, RT.Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi over the death of his elder brother, mallam Salihu Abdullahi.

” We urged our speaker and the entire family to see his demise as an act of God and accept it in good faith as well as continued to pray for the repose of his soul.

” May the soul of late Mallam Salihu Abdullahi rest in peace,” the statement said.

Adamu Omadefu, who represents Keana constituency prayed God to forgive Mallam Salihu Abdullahi of his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.

It would be reported that Mallam Salihu Abdullahi died in the early hours of today, Wednesday 17th February, 2021 at the age of 68 at Specialist Hospital Gwagwalada FCT,Abuja as a result of brief illness.

It would also be reported that until his death, he was a retired Secretary, FCT Agency for Science and Technology.
