Nasarawa: NUJ to collaborate with DASH for better service Delivery

The Nasarawa chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ says it will do anything within its powers to collaborate with the management of Dalhatu Specialist Hospital DASH to sustain the success and achievements of the hospital in past two years.
This was disclosed by the chairman of the union Comr. Mohammed Alkali during a courtesy visit today at the hospital conference hall in lafia, to strengthen the relationship between the union and Dash.
As part of the achievements, the union boss said before now the hospital have only one clinic but with the coming of the present leadership of Dash Headed by Dr. Hassan Ikrama the hospital now has five clinics and four hundred bed space which is a great achievement on his side.
Alkali however highlighted some of the challenges of the union ranging from fixtures and fittings and chairs that will accommodate the capacity of members in the state, appealing to the management of DASH to support towards making the press centre a good edifice in the state and the country in general.
He further appreciated the management of Dash for honouring their invitation at this time of the coronavirus pandemic plaguing the world today, pledge to always ensure the union will always have a good working relationship with the hospital.
In his responds, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Hassan Ikrama said the union and the management of DASH are partners in progress, adding that credence should be giving to the union in helping to inform the people about new development in the hospital in the past two years.
The CMD however, said a lot has been achieved for the past two years and they intend to spend the next two years to improve efficiency and effectiveness as a target where you don’t need to know anybody in the hospital to access health care services which are the best service practice all over the world.
Ikrama also draw the attention of the union on the ongoing registration in the Nasarawa state health insurance Scheme urging members of the union to key into the programme as is another avenue to access health care services without immediate payment of fund before health care service is offered to a patient.
The medical boss however, appreciated the leadership of the union for visiting the hospital and pledged to support them in their capacity to sustain the relationship already existing.
