Nasarawa PDP Guber candidate donates 4 vehicles to CAN, JNI

GUBERNATORIAL candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Nasarawa state, Hon. David Ombugadu has donated two Sharon vehicles each to the state chapters of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, and the Jama’atu Nasir Islam, JNI, to enhance their mobility.

The PDP governorship candidate, who was represented by the state party chairman, Francis Orogu, handed over the vehicles to the benefitting associations in Lafia the Monday.

He explained that the vehicles were donated to the state CAN leadership in fulfilment of his earlier promise to the association, adding that he deemed it necessary to extend same gesture to the JNI as part of efforts to promote religious harmony in the state.

He said the PDP was better positioned to takeover power from the ruling APC at both Federal and state levels, soliciting the support and prayers from the Christian and Muslim communities in the state to enable him to succeed.

The governorship candidate advised both Christian and Muslims to work as members of one family, noting that they were all created by one God.

Responding separately, the state CAN chairman, Bishop Joseph Masin his JNI counterpart, Alhaji Isiaka both appreciated the PDP governorship candidate for the gesture calling on him to go about his electioneering campaign devoid of abusive language in the interest of peace.
