NASHIA to provide health care servises to 5000 vulnerable women in Nasarawa

The secretary of Nasarawa state social health insurance scheme (NASHIA) Dr. Gaza Gwamna says the agency in collaboration with population services international (PSI) to provide health care services to 5000 vulnerable women in Nasarawa state.

The NASHIA boss stated this during an advocacy visit to both the ministry of women affairs and social development and ministry of education, science and technology, to further strengthen the already existing relationship between the agency and the ministries.

Dr. Gaza said in his word said ” the agency is backed up law that is why it is a national processes which made it compulsory for all residents of Nasarawa state so they can be giving adequate health care services without financial barrier or pain”.

He further stressed that the essence of the advocacy visit is to bring to the knowledge of the ministry that the agency is in collaboration with population service Internationale development to. help women and child mortality in the state, having considered Akwanga local government area to be used for pilot study.

He added that the agency will provide health care service to over 5000 women and children to enable them Carter for their health status.adding that if the study is successful it will be extended to other local government areas in the state.

On her part,commissioner for women affairs and social development Hajia Halima Ahmed Jabiri Said the project is a good development that is in line with the his Excelency Engineer Abdulahi Sule’s agenda to ensure that health care service are made available to the least person in the state. Adding that the project has lifted some of the burdens of the ministry.

The commissioner further pledged to the agency to do a consideration on the Almajiri children that are from Nasarawa state, should also be giving attention as the burden is huge in the government to take care urging them to make them the first in their list so they hcan have access to health care services.

She further appreciated the effort of the agency applauding them for the rapid speed they have applied to come to this level to ensure all Nasarawa citizenry are enrole for health care services adding that the ministry will partner with the agency to help promote the success of the agency.

On the other hand, the commissioner for education, science and technology, Mrs. Fatima J Sabo also stressed that they will support the agency in all aspect considering the magnitude of the project they have brought to the state so far, adding that all the population under the ministry will key into the programme to have better health care services with pain.

The commissioner however emphasised that health is wealth and it is part of their plan for this year biludget to strengthen their health care services implanted in various schools. Urging the agency to assist the ministry in achieving that feet.
She therefore thanked the agency for finding worthy to partner with pledging their airport to them to help improve the health disabilities of the vulnerable people in the state.

It is on this regard that the agency deem it fit to partner with both ministry which controls the class of individuals that will be benefiting from the scheme, appreciating both commissioners for granting them audience at this strange period of Covid19 pandemic in the state and the country in general.
