The National Youth Alliance (NYA) has announced the activation of its National Elders Council. This was done in a move to tap into the wisdom and experience of seasoned leaders of the country.

According to a statement that was signed by Hon. Israel Oladipupo Ogunseye, National Publicity Secretary, the Council comprises esteemed elder statesmen and senior citizens who have made significant contributions to the nation’s development.

Their wealth of knowledge and expertise will provide guidance and mentorship to the youth, promoting intergenerational collaboration and nation-building.

The statement quoted Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas, the Youth President and NYA National Chairman, saying that “the National Elders Council will play a crucial advisory role, offering valuable insights to support the NYA’s initiatives and programs focused on youth empowerment, leadership development, and national progress”.

This move is expected to foster a culture of wisdom-sharing, mentorship, and collective growth, further solidifying the NYA’s commitment to shaping a brighter future for Nigeria’s youth.
