NCPC Airlifts last batch of 2022 Pilgrims to Israel, Jordan

The Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission, NCPC , has airlifted about 290 intending pilgrims the last of the 2022 batch.
The 290 pilgrims departed Nigeria for a 9- day pilgrimage to historical sites of the teachings of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible.

Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev.Dr Yakubu Pam while addressing the intending pilgrims at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, charged to abide by the rules and regulations guiding the process.

Pam, represented by the Director of Administration, (NCPC) Mr Sony Ebiyaibo, disclosed that the pilgrimage was the 10th batch and the last for the year 2022.

He encouraged the pilgrims to see the pilgrimage as an opportunity to get to God and to offer prayers to the country.

“We are here to bid farewell to over 290 Christian intending pilgrims to the holy land of Jordan and Israel to visit Holy sites of the teaching of Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible.

“This is the 10th and last batch for the year 2022, I want to encourage the intending pilgrims to see pilgrimage as an opportunity to be closer to God and to offer prayers for the country.”

The pilgrims would visit holy sites in Jordan and Israel respectively, hoping that no one sees the exercise as a jamboree but an opportunity to offer prayers for the peace the country,” he said.

Pam disclosed that the pilgrims who are from Plateau, Kwara, Osun and Ekiti states would visit holy sites in Jordan and Israel respectively.

The Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Plateau state chapter, Rev. Fr. Polycarp Lubo, in an exhortation said that pilgrimage was very vital in the life of a believer.

Lubo urged the intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of Nigeria and to take the holy visit as a time for prayers.

One of the intending pilgrim, Mrs Asabe Zore, thanked the government for giving her the opportunity to visit holy sites in both countries stating that she would use the exercise to offer prayers for peace and unity in the country.
