NCPC inspects Yola Airport for 2021 pilgrimage exercise

In preparation for the 2021 pilgrimage exercise to Israel, Jordan and Rome, the Executive Secretary, Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam, has gone on inspection of the facilities at the Yola International Airport in Adamawa State Capital.

Rev. Pam said that he was at the airport to ascertain the level of preparedness of the Airport officials and to make sure that the facilities are in good shape for the Commissions forth coming pilgrimage exercise, adding that Adamawa pilgrims would be the first to be airlifted from Nigeria.

He noted that also was to ensure that Pilgrims are conversant with the rules and restrictions so as to guide them in the Holy lands and to facilitate the forthcoming operations.

Briefing the officials of his visit to the Government House, Rev. Pam commended the efforts the Governor of Adamawa State in eschewing violence but maintenance of peace and safety of his people of Adamawa.
He said, “We must appreciate Governor Fintiri, who is the Chief shepherd of the State, without good leadership there would have been no peace within the State.”

He further praised the Elites of the State for towing the line of the governor, adding that in Adamawa state despite religious, political and ethnic differences peace has been maintained.”
The NCPC boss pointed that the peaceful nature of the state has attracted NCPC to Yola to carry out its Pilgrimage activities.

Also Executive Secretary of the Adamawa State Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Rev. Zidon Love expressed appreciated the NCPC Scribe for coming to inspect the airport facilities to ensure that all is well for the airlift of pilgrims from Adamawa State.

Earlier, the airport manager, Mallam Dan Musa who was represented by the Airport Chief of Security (ACOS) Mr. Dali Danawi Jackson disclosed that the State government had promised to address a few challenges at the airport for a smooth airlifting and security of all pilgrims.
