Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Rev Yakubu Pam has disclosed to that the commission has reintroduced a Special One Day Prayer and fasting session for the country in Jerusalem during the 2020 pilgrimage.
Rev Pam made this disclosure today during a media parley to mark his 100 days in office.
He said , ” we have reintroduced a Special One Day Prayer and Fasting session in Jerusalem for Nigerian Pilgrims and Christians Public office holders called , ” A Day with Jesus”
He said that in line with this the Federal Government has granted the Commission the express approval to participate in the 2020 general Pilgrimage exercise to Israel, Rome and Greece.
According to him, eight international Airports across the country will be used for the 2020 pilgrimage exercise, adding that the Commission would soon start inspection of designed Airports for readiness.
Meanwhile the NCPC boss said it would not be business as usual for Pilgrims who usually abscond as the Commission is introducing stringent screening measures and also that guarantors are held liable for any Pilgrim who absconds while in the Holy Land.
Speaking on his 100 Days in Office Rev Pam said that he has launched his six point Agenda to help drive his vision and mission in the Commission, adding that that it has been articulated into a working document and blueprint for his policy thrust.
He promised. that for this success of Commission will not compromise the health of Pilgrims as well as work with the countries.
