The Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Kano Strategic Command, CN DY Lawal, has received a courtesy visit from the Executive Director of the League for Societal Protection Against Drug Abuse (LESPADA), Ambassador Maryam Hassan, in a move aimed at strengthening collaboration in the fight against substance abuse in Kano State.
During the visit, Amb. Hassan congratulated CN Lawal on his leadership and reaffirmed her organization’s commitment to supporting NDLEA’s efforts to curb drug abuse across the state. She described the courtesy call as a gesture of solidarity, emphasizing LESPADA’s readiness to partner with the agency to address the growing menace of substance abuse.
In his response, Commander Lawal expressed appreciation for the visit and acknowledged LESPADA’s critical role in promoting a drug-free society. He appealed for the organization’s support in analyzing drug-related cases in Kano, stressing the importance of sustained collaboration between stakeholders to effectively combat drug abuse.
The visit highlights the renewed commitment of both NDLEA and LESPADA to partnering for the well-being of Kano residents and fostering a healthier, drug-free environment.
