NGO Organises Free Surgery

Cleft Lip, Palate Diseases in Kogi

Good Smile Africa Advocacy Initiative, a non-governmental organization (NGO) in partnership with the Kogi state government, will between 21st to 23rd December, 2023, offer free surgery for cleft lip and palate patients in Kogi.

Dr. Osodin, Timothy Eromose, Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Director of Good Smile Africa Advocacy Initiative, gave the hint while briefing Journalists in Lokoja, on the lined up activities for the free surgery.

Dr. Eromose told journalists that the free surgery will take place at the Specialist Hospital, Obangede in Okene Local Government Area of Kogi state beginning from 8:00am daily.

He therefore, called on the cleft lip and palate patients to avail themselves of the opportunity by turning out in their large numbers for the free surgery.

The Consultant Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, explained that the gesture is part of the humanitarian services of his organization to put smiles on the faces of the victims who cannot afford to pay for the cost of the surgical treatment.

Dr. Eromose also called for joint partnership between government and wealthy Nigerians in ensuring that the less privileged in the society have access to adequate health delivery services with no cost.
