Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom has identified peace as the surest way out of the numerous challenges bedeviling the country.
The Governor stated this on Thursday when a delegation from the Advocacy Mediation and Reconciliation Council of Peace (AMRCP) led by its Coordinator, Ambassador Aminu Wali paid a courtesy visit to him at the Government House Makurdi.
Ortom pointed out that peace was capable of bringing unity among Nigerians for speedy growth of the nation.
The Governor assured of his administration’s readiness to key into the peace initiative being canvassed by the council, noting that they would do everything possible to ensure peace.
Earlier in his remarks, leader of the delegation, Ambassador Wali maintained that the mission of members of Council in Benue State was to meet with stakeholders with the view of looking at Policies and laws governing the conduct of affairs between the leaders and the led and ways of ensuring permanent peace.
