Nigerian Army initiates recruitment for non-tradesmen and women

The Nigerian Army has officially launched the application process for non-tradesmen and women, inviting interested individuals to apply.

Announced via its official platform, the Army revealed that the application window will be open from May 3 to June 7, 2024.

The post stated, “Online application for 87 Regular Recruits Intake for Non-Tradesmen & Women has commenced. Application starts from 3rd May – 7th June 2024.”

Emphasizing that the application process is free, the Army cautioned applicants to beware of fraudsters and directed them to the official recruitment portal: http://recruitment.army.mil.ng.

Shortlisted candidates will undergo the State Recruitment Screening Exercise scheduled from June 20 to July 3, 2024.

Outlined below are the entry requirements as provided by the army:

– Applicants must be single Nigerian citizens by birth and possess a National Identity Card or NIN slip.
– They must meet the medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards set by the Nigerian Army.
– Applicants should have no criminal convictions.
– Minimum educational requirement: 4 passes in not more than two sittings in WASCE/GCE/NECO/NABTEB.
– Tradesmen/women applicants must also hold a TRADE TEST/CITY AND GUILD CERTIFICATE.
– A valid birth certificate or age declaration is required.
– Age limit: 18 to 22 years for non-tradesmen and women, and not more than 26 years for tradesmen and women as of June 30, 2024.
– Minimum height requirement: 1.68 metres for males and 1.65 metres for females.
– Applicants must possess a valid certificate of state of origin.
