Nigerian Military reviewing strategy in fight against banditry, terrorism

The Nigerian military authorities say they are reviewing their strategy in the fight against banditry, terrorism..

The Coordinator of Defence media operation,  Major General John Eneche says the spike in banditry is as a result of the palliative given to a section of the bandits.

He explained that a good number of the bandits know no other trade other than banditry which is why there’s a pool for recruitment.

General Eneche added that the bandits and insurgents use human shields making it difficult for troops to attack.  He said this constraint will be addressed in the new operations strategy the military is adopting in the present battle.
