By Milcah Tanimu

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has voluntarily surrendered to the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Yaba. This follows an ongoing police investigation into allegations of violent conduct and assault on government officials in Ogun State.

The surrender was confirmed by Benjamin Hundeyin, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, who shared the information on Wednesday. According to Hundeyin, “Portable just turned himself in at the SCID Yaba. We have contacted Ogun State Police Command to come pick him up.”

The singer, recently declared wanted by the police, faces allegations of leading a violent attack against government officials. The incident occurred while officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban DevelopmentTPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi—were carrying out their duties in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota. The officials were enforcing government regulations when they were confronted by Portable and his associates.
