Nigerian Star CKAY Launches Record Label, Boyfriend Music

Nigerian international star CKAY, alongside his childhood friend Joseph Salubi, has launched a new record label, Boyfriend Music Ltd. The company, based in Lagos, Nigeria, marks its entry into the music industry with a strong commitment to supporting artists, songwriters, and producers.

Boyfriend Music Ltd. also includes an American subsidiary, Boyfrnd Music LLC., aimed at extending its reach globally. The label is dedicated to ensuring that artists receive their rightful royalties and providing comprehensive A&R services to foster creative talent.

CKAY, the CEO, emphasized the label’s commitment to creating a transparent and supportive environment for creators. “We are dedicated to creating a formidable and transparent environment where artists, songwriters, and producers can focus on their creativity while we handle the complexities of management and music publishing,” he stated.

Joseph Salubi, the Managing Director, highlighted the label’s mission to empower creators by ensuring they receive the royalties they deserve and providing essential resources for their creative growth. “Our shared history and passion for music have driven us to create a company that supports artists in every aspect of their careers,” he said.
