Nnamdi Kanu: ‘Very Useless Guy’ – Chiefpriest Blasts Fayose Over Comment on Igbos’ Alliance With Tinubu

Nigerian socialite, Okechukwu Pascal, popularly known as Chiefpriest, has lashed out at Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, over his comments regarding Igbos aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Fayose, in a video shared on Instagram, alleged that Igbos have abandoned the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, who remains in custody. He contrasted Kanu’s situation with that of Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho, who faced charges related to arms trafficking and possession but has since been cleared and returned to Nigeria.

Reacting via his Instagram page, Chiefpriest defended his position, stating that aligning with those in power is a strategic decision for business growth rather than a sign of weakness.

He argued that he is not in a position to negotiate Kanu’s release and challenged Fayose to name any Yoruba businessman responsible for securing Igboho’s freedom. The socialite also questioned Fayose’s credibility in business and invited him to a public debate on wealth and enterprise.

Chiefpriest further stated that he employs over 1,000 people through his initiatives and cannot afford to jeopardize their livelihoods by opposing the government.

In a strongly worded post, he wrote in part:

“Guy, you no really get sense. Wetin over 30 governors align to na wetin ordinary businessman align to and you dey cry. Power pass power. You want make I negotiate the release of Nnamdi Kanu by being opposition? Tell me the name of the Yoruba businessman that released Sunday Igboho.

“You are a complete fool to challenge. Let the world see who has real traces to his wealth. Your brother was governor for eight years, what did you achieve? I have over 1,000 people who work under my initiatives and I can’t lead them by fighting the government. I have chosen my path, and that is business and politics.”

The exchange has since sparked heated reactions on social media, with supporters of both parties weighing in on the debate.
