No Magic Will Stop Tinubu from Winning 2027 Election – Zazzaga

By Isreal Adamu, Jos

The Chairman of the North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum, Alhaji Saleh Zazzaga, has declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set for victory in the 2027 presidential election, asserting that no strategy or opposition can prevent his reelection.

In a statement issued on Friday, January 3, 2025, Zazzaga predicted a landslide victory for Tinubu, citing the positive impact of his policies, which, he said, would have transformed Nigeria by the next election.

Zazzaga was responding to remarks by the Kano State New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Chairman, Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, who had warned Tinubu to brace for defeat in 2027 due to what he described as “anti-people policies.” Dungurawa suggested that Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, NNPP’s national leader, would defeat Tinubu in the forthcoming election.

In his counterargument, Zazzaga emphasized the necessity of Tinubu’s bold reforms, including the removal of fuel subsidies and the floating of the Naira.

“President Tinubu’s policies are tough but necessary, and the benefits are already beginning to materialize. Nigerians will appreciate his efforts when the economy stabilizes, and by 2027, he will undoubtedly secure a second term,” Zazzaga stated.

He added, “The subsidy removal and currency reforms are moves that previous administrations avoided. President Tinubu’s courage in implementing these measures is commendable. By the next election, Nigerians will witness a restructured economy with stabilized inflation, improved foreign reserves, and increased oil production.”

Zazzaga highlighted the North-Central APC Forum’s endorsement of Tinubu’s reelection bid, citing his administration’s achievements in security, infrastructure, and economic recovery.

“No other president has invested in the North-Central region as much as Tinubu has. From improving security to boosting agricultural activities and delivering infrastructural projects, his impact is unmatched,” he said.

The APC leader also praised Tinubu’s leadership for significantly reducing insecurity in the region, allowing farmers to return to their fields.

“His bold leadership has restored peace in the North-Central, enabling our people to cultivate and harvest their crops without fear. This progress alone is a testament to his commitment to national unity and prosperity,” Zazzaga added.

The APC chieftain lauded Tinubu’s proposed tax reforms as “pro-poor” initiatives designed to support small businesses and the masses.

“Tinubu’s administration is focused on policies that uplift the masses, ensuring that the benefits of governance reach every Nigerian,” Zazzaga noted.

He reaffirmed the Forum’s commitment to Tinubu’s reelection, stating, “Just as we worked tirelessly in 2023, the North-Central APC Forum will mobilize even greater support for Tinubu in 2027. His leadership is what Nigeria needs to achieve sustainable development and prosperity.”
