NOA alerts the Public on impersonation of NOA DG by fraudsters

The National Orientation Agency, NOA, has alerted the public of impersonation of the Director General , Mallam Lanre Issa- Onilu and the staff of the agency.

A press statement signed by Mr. Paul Odenyi, Deputy Director, made available to Daybreak today , warned the public to beware of the increasing activities of fraudulent individuals impersonation the Director General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa- Onilu by using his name to extort the unsuspecting public, particularly on the social media with claims and services not within the core mandate of the agency.

The statement read, In the past three months, several telephone numbers including +2347032586076, WhatsApp accounts, social media profiles have been used to contact members of the public claiming to belong to the Director General, Mallam lanre Issa-Onilu.

The Agency wishes to clarify that operations of the Agency are not conducted on the social media, and therefore it is not the channel for the official notification of the directive of the Director General.

For authentic information and updates about the activities and operation of the NOA, we strongly advise that members of the public should verify through the official website of the Agency, WWW.noa.gov.ng or interact with the artificial intelligence (AI) enabled voice and text assistant, CLHEEAN.
