Nollywood Actress Iyabo Ojo Shows Support for Socialite Farida Sobowale After Suicide Attempt

By Daniel Edu

Nigerian actress Iyabo Ojo has expressed her support for Lagos socialite Farida Sobowale, CEO of House of Phreeda, following her recent suicide attempt. It was reported that Farida had tried to jump off the Third Mainland bridge in Lagos but was thankfully rescued by passersby.

Iyabo Ojo, who is close to Farida, shared her feelings on the situation in an Instagram post. She revealed that she had just been on the phone with Farida and wouldn’t have hung up if she had known about her thoughts. Iyabo Ojo explained how Farida had already planned her actions but diverted her attention during their call. She thanked the people who intervened and saved Farida’s life, reassuring her that things would get better and that she was loved and supported.

Actress Nkechi Blessing also showed her concern and empathy for Farida in a separate Instagram post. She highlighted the impact of online trolling and bullying, and she urged Farida’s friends and family to provide her with unwavering support during this challenging time.

Rumors suggest that Farida’s marriage might be facing difficulties, contributing to her emotional state. Reportedly, her husband has allegedly been speaking negatively about her to others, which has caused distress and mental anguish for Farida.

Both Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing’s messages of support emphasize the importance of community and assistance during tough times, particularly in the face of online harassment and personal struggles.
