The six Governors of the North East region of Nigeria meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential Villa Abuja.
The Governors who met over the weekend in Maiduguri had nominated the Borno State Governor Prof Babagana Zulum to chair the forum for the next two years.
It is expected that they would discuss the worsening security situation of the region with the presidency.
The forum during its meeting in Maiduguri resolved to plead with the federal government to deploy more state of the art military hardware in the fight against insurgency as well as equip the Nigeria Police to assist in the fight amongst other resolutions.
The meeting go a long way in addressing some of the challenges facing the region.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and the other five Governors led by the chairman of the forum Professor Babagana Zulum are attending the meeting.
