By Jabiru Hassan, Kano.

The Northern States governors have been called upon to revive New Nigerian Newspapers in order to retain it’s position as the best national daily as seen in the past when the company is fully operational.

The call was made by Malam Adamu Mai Nasara, a retired civil servant in kano while speaking to our correspondent on the need to revive the company especially at present when the globe is rapidly advancing in the area of information technology.

He disclosed that” Northern governors should try and revive New Nigerian Newspapers as the owners, and at the same time settle the the workers in order to save their livelihood because they are now suffering due to non-payments of their entitlements for long despites their efforts in keeping the company’s flag flying”. he stressed.

Mai Nasara added that Northern States governors should as a matter of urgency try to save the Sardauna legacies especially in the area of information technology where the region depended on the organisation in the past, where he commended the workers and management team for being patient prior to further action by the Northern governors.
