NPFL: Lobi Stars Defeats Akwa United With I-0

By Isaac Kertyo, Makurdi

Lobi Stars Football Club, Makurdi on Sunday at the Aper Aku Stadium defeated visiting Akwa United with 1-0 in the on going Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL.

The aforementioned teams strived hard to score during the first half but all efforts didn’t yield any positive results as both Lobi Stars and Akwa United missed the chances of scoring.

However, Lobi Stars players with the home support they enjoyed, scored the first shot through number 7, Mr Said Mubarak via a Conner kick in the 25 minutes towards the end of the match.

It could be recalled that the management of Lobi Stars led by Mr Tama Aondofa ahead of the game had predicted victory in favour of its team. Aondofa said the club had been stregnthened to perform better in subsequent matches.

With the new development, the Lobi Stars players are encouraged and better prepared for subsequent outings to make their fans proud.
