NSCDC Nabs Armed Man at Church in Plateau State

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Plateau State Command, have arrested a man allegedly found with a firearm within a church premises in Bokkos Local Government Area.

The incident occurred around 8:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday during a routine patrol by NSCDC personnel. Their swift action is believed to have prevented a potential tragedy during the church service.

The suspect, whose identity has not been made public, was unable to provide valid documentation or a convincing explanation for possessing the weapon.

This arrest follows a series of violent attacks in Bokkos communities by unidentified gunmen, which have left several residents dead in recent weeks.

Confirming the incident, the command’s spokesperson, ASP NR Rimvyok, told our correspondent via phone that investigations are underway to determine the suspect’s intentions.
