NTDC, FTAN Parley To Develop Tourism Sector

The Nigeria Tourism Development Authority, NTDA and the Federation of Tourism Association, FTAN , have promised to work together to develop and strengthen the Tourism Sector.

Director General Chief Folorunsho Coker said that the Tourism Agency shall work with the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN and other stakeholders in the sector to development the newly created Nigerian Tourism Development Authority, NTDA, under his leadership.

Coker made this known when FTAN paid him a visit in his office, on Friday 16th June, 2023 in Abuja.

Coker said, ‘ the Agency will be working with the private sector leveraging on the prevailing peace between government and private sector to achieve the sector.”

President of FTAN, Mr. Nkereuwem Onung who led members of the association on the visit to Chief Coker also made a commitment that the association would to work with the Agency.

Onung noted that the association is ready cooperation with the private sector in implementing the new law.

FTAN president noted that the signing of the law set up the new agency and a committee to review the law surrounding conflicts, cooperation, collaboration and partnership in the sector.

Meanwhile, FTAN and NTDA promised to cooperate, collaborate and partner in forging the way forward for Tourism in Nigeria governed by the new law.
