The newly elected Chairman of Nigerian Union Of Local Government Employees, Sokoto chapter, Comrade Shuaibu Yari Goronyo has commended both state government and State House of Assembly being the first in the northern part of the country to pass autonomous Bill for local local governments.

He said Tambuwal has been a friendly leader that has his people concern enclaved in his heart.
He said Sokoto state House of Assembly is the only legislative house in the north that passed the local Government Autonomous bill courtesy of the state Governor.

Comrade Yari further stated that when the Governor heard the news of the demised of the former National president of NULGE  late  Comrade Ibrahim Khalil wudil, in Kano state,he personally led a high powered government officials from Sokoto state in company of Unions’ officials to condole the family of the deceased in Wudil Kano state.

“The Governor went direct in to the deceased house to condole with his   family ,” averred Comrade Yari.
Yari further said, what Governor Aminu Waziri has done demonstrated the love and affection he had for NULGE  and its national and states leaderships.

Commenting on the dilemma of local government posted by some staff on State Primary Healthcare Development Agency (PHCDA), Yari urged the Agency to release those whose services are  not needed to their former working place at the local government.
According to him some local government staff posted to PHCDA have lost focus as their salary was neither there nor at their former working place at LGAs.

He explained that NULGE recently received a very encouraging news from PHCDA that LGAs staff posted to Agency who spent months without salary have started receiving Alerts of their salary arrears.

He urged those who are yet to receive their alert to exercise little patience as efforts are ongoing to settle them. The NULGE President however commended Governor Tambuwal for his prompt and up to date payment of salary to the entire workforce in the state.

“Tamabuwal pays salaries on or before the end of every month unlike in some state where workers have to go on strike before their monthly entitlements are being paid”, asserted Comrade Yari.
