Ongoing Rehabilitation at President Buhari’s Hometown Road Is Substandard-Drivers

The ongoing rehabilitation works at Kano-Daura road is described  by the drivers as substandard and should be  taken into serious consideration to ensure that quality works is done due to the number of  daily vehicular movements on the road.
In an interview with newsmen at Dambatta Dam, many drivers called on the federal ministry of transport to visit the road and see how a substandard works is being done on top of Dambatta Dam where the protection wall is not qualitative which cannot halt even a bicycle from falling into the Dam.
Malam Ismail Adam, a commercial bus driver told the reporters that ” we are not happy with what we are seeing where a whole agency which was established to repair the Nigerian roads but often carries out such repairs in a low standard despite the huge amount of money that is being earmarked to ensure standard rehabilitations”. He lamented.
Similarly, Alhaji Ahmed Mustapha, disclosed that ” kano-Daura road needs complete dualization because the road links Nigeria to other west African countries, and the vehicular movements is increasing on daily basis, and  what they are doing on top of Dambatta road would never protects vehicles from falling into the Dambatta Dam whenever a vehicle summersaults”. He concluded.
Our correspondent take a look at the protection walls installed at both sides of Dambatta Dam, which cannot stop even a bicycle from falling into the river which should be substituted with strong metal wall instead of the cement-built walls which cannot serve the propose of protecting vehicles from falling into the river on a road to the current  president’s hometown.
All those who interacted with journalists during the tour of Kano-Daura road called on the federal government to  dualize the road and install strong and quality protection wall on Dambatta Dam so as to ensure that vehicles were protected from falling into the river.
