Only Catholic bishops speak truth to power – Sen Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani, the Senator representing Kaduna Central in the 8th Senate was on Sunday cerebrated by the Catholic Archbishop of Kaduna, His Grace Bishop Manoso Ndagoso.

The Archbishop also described Comrade Senator Shehu Sani as a bridge builder of note, adding that he lacked even the word to describe Senator Sani.

Senator Sani who took part in the 2021 Archdiocesan Lenten campaign flag off organized by justice development Caritas and peace’ of the Catholic Archdiocese as Special Guest also exalted Catholic Bishops style of Christian leadership, saying only them could speaks truth to power and to their their faces.

Sani who made the reamks at St Mary Parish chuch during the service he attended also described Catholic Bishops as deligent, truthfully and fearless to constituted authority.

Responding Bishop Ndagoso further explained that “there’s no better way of describing a Muslim who can work into the Church during services and and also patiently took part in the ceremony including eating foods cooked by the Christian faith without descrimination.

Given instances of the times and when he took part in Muslim feasting, prayers and others, in Germany and Maiduguri, Bishop Ndagoso said, Sani had been in this habit for years and become a household name who required no introduction anywhere he found himself in kaduna anyone.

Sani also, during his remarks said as a Kaduna born fellow, he was a core beneficiary of the wealths of Catholic Church in areas of mission schools and realized over the years that only Catholic Bishops can speak to power without fear or favor.

Senator Sani later unveiled the Lenten campaign flag off, urging all churches to continue to speaks truth to power and not to relent despite difficulties arising as a result of challenges of insecurity situation of killings and abductions in the country until things are better.
