OPSH Arrests Robbers, Recovers Arms in Plateau

Operation Safe Haven, deployed to restore law and order in Plateau on Sunday said it has arrested some notorious armed robbers as well as re over arms in some communities in Plateau state. 

A statement signed by  Major Samson Zhakom  the Media Information Officer 

Operation Safe Haven made available to newsmen in Jos reads that as part of efforts to rid Jos Metropolis of criminal elements, troops of Operation Safe Haven sustained operations in the metropolis with positive outcomes. 

“On 24 May 2025, troops on night patrol around Naraguta Area in Jos North Local Government Area (LGA) of Plateau State arrested 2 armed robbers. “

The suspects were arrested in possession of one pistol. 

 “Similarly, in the early hours of 25 May 2025, troops arrested a notorious armed robber near Crest Hotel at Corner Shagari in Jos North LGA of Plateau State in possession of one pistol and 5 rounds of 9 mm ammunition.”

 ” Preliminary interrogation of the suspect led to the arrest of his cohort at Massalachin Idi, Ali Kazaure Area in Jos North LGA of Plateau State.”

The statement added that “During search of the hideout of the criminal, troops recovered another pistol loaded with 5 rounds of 9 mm ammunition.”

 The arrested suspects are making useful confessions in custody to aid troops conduct follow-up operations to arrest other members of the criminal syndicate.
