According to Jamiu Olawumi, the former Special Adviser to the governor on education, the chairmen and councillors began their activities without any reports of violence. He also assured that security was a priority, with personnel from the police, civil defense, and DSS providing coverage around the secretariats.
Olawumi acknowledged the support of Governor Adeleke but urged further action, calling for the removal of alleged thugs from the town to ensure peace. He also recommended that the governor engage with national authorities to achieve Osun’s development goals.
