Osun Environmental Health Officers (EHOAN) Gets New Officials.

The Environmental Health Officers Association of Nigeria (EHOAN) Osun State Chapter has elected new officials that will run its affairs for another three years.

In his welcome address during the Annual General Meeting (AGM), presentation of awards, election and commissioning of the EHOAN’s state building, the immediate past state President of the association, Sanitarian Dr. Isaac Tope Akinwumi, charges the newly elected executive members to work hard and harmoniously for the development of the association while they should keep the association’s flag flying.

While calling on the entire Environmental Health Officiers in the state to demonstrate their unflinching support to the new state executive for them to achieve, Dr Akinwumi appreciated members of his Executive, leaders, Directors among others for their unalloyed support, encouragement, sacrifice and love to him throughout his tenure as the state President.

Dr.Akinwumi enumerated some of his achievements during his tenure such as, construction and commissioning of EHOAN permanent secretariat which was described by the state Head of Service, Dr. Festus Olowogboyega Oyebade as of “International Standard”.

2021 state environmental health week which was adjudged as most celebrated one where the state first lady, Mrs Kafayat Oyetola was decorated as the Matron EHOAN, Osun State and honoured for her role in WASH activities, harmonious working relationship with Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s led administration in the state as well as election of the state’s indigene as South-West President in which is the first of its kind since inception of the state in 1991 just to mention a few.

In his acceptance speech, the new EHOAN’s State President, Sanitarian Ola Olufemi, promised to be sincere and ensure the unity and progress of the association in the state.

Sanitarian Ola who was highly elated promised to continue from where the immediate past state President of the association, Dr Akinwumi has stopped for him to achieve a lot.

The new Osun EHOAN President who promised of having some projects to be commissioned while celebrating his first 100 days in office also pledged to collaborate with Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s led administration in the state in the area of environment and sanitation.

While commending and appreciating all leaders and members of the Association across the state for their complete support to him which led to his emergence as the new state President, Sanitarian Ola urged them not to relent as welfare of members across board would be his priority.

Other members of the executive that will work with the new State EHOAN’s President, Sanitarian Ola. Sunday Olufemi includes, the Deputy President, Sanitarian Lawal F. Titilayo, State Secretary, Sanitarian Akinola Raphael Olutayo, Vice President (Local) Sanitarian Opadara Sunday Adelani, Vice President (Federal) Sanitarian Famubode Temitope S, Vice President (State) Sanitarian Adebiyi Adebare Musbau and Treasurer, Sanitarian Akindele Sesan Benson.

Others are, Financial Secretary, Sanitarian Adejinle Abraham O, Auditor, Sanitarian Ogungbade Florence A, Provost Marshal, Sanitarian Hassan Akeem Olawale, PRO, Sanitarian Ogungbe Hafeez O, Welfare Officer, Sanitarian Okeowo Seun Adejoke and Auditor 11, Sanitarian Olawale Sunday and Sanitarian Dr. Isaac Tope Akinwumi – Ex-Officio and Southwest President.

The well attended and colourful programme which was conducted at the EHOAN’s building, Abaku, Idi-Ora area, along Kunike Group of Schools, Ilesa road, Osogbo went peacefully with beheeve of activities.
