Osun Ex-Commissioner Describes Buhari As The Best For Nigeria’s Development

By Richard Akintade, Osogbo

The immediate past Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Osun state, Mr Adelani Baderinwa has said that President Muhammadu Buhari who is the presidential candidate for All Progressives Congress (APC) in the February 16, 2019 general election remained the best person to chose for Nigeria’s progress.

According to Baderinwa, Buhari has set Nigeria on the progress path, stating that electing him for a second term would stabilize the country’s ailing economy and finally cleanse the country from the socio-economic and underdeveloped mess of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)

Baderinwa, who had been appointed as a Supervisor for the state Ministry of Information and Strategy by Governor Gboyega Oyetola spoke on Monday while hosting a socio-political group, the Buhari Media Centre which paid him a courtesy visit in his office at the state Secretariat, Abere-Ede.

He described the February 16 presidential and National Assembly election as a ‘deciding factor for Nigeria’s continuous progress or stagnation’, just as he warned eligible voters against selling their votes on election day.

According to Baderinwa, the meaningful progress and remarkable achievements made by the Buhari’s administration is due to the prudent, transparent and progressive spirit of the President and his Vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

Baderinwa said the PDP led Federal Government then failed because it wholeheartedly embraced corruption and as a result ruined the country’s economy and brought untold hardship on the people of the country.

He said: “You cannot do two things at the same time. You cannot be claiming to mean well for the country and the people and at the same time be stealing the peoples money while you watch your cronies looting the country’s treasury. That was the case of PDP when they were in power.

“PDP was unable to do meaningful things for the people of the country because their administrations were characterized by brazen corruption and also lacked human face.

“On the other hand, President Muhammadu Buhari’s led Federal Government is able to achieve because it has the people as the central focus of the government. The government of the APC has human face and that is why there are series of social protection programmes.

“President Buhari’s administration is focused, transparent, prudent and progressive. He has been able to manage the little resources to achieve great things which the PDP government that had enough money to play around with could not achieve.

“The second term of President Muhammadu Buhari will stabilize the healing of Nigeria’s bad economy and firmly stamped the country’s feet on the progress path.”

Baderinwa urged electorates to come out and vote for President Muhammadu Buhari and all the APC candidates for the National Assembly election in the state.

In his address, the Osun Coordinator of Buhari Media Centre, Mr Virtue Yusuf Olatunji said the group was formed to support the cause of good governance, saying that members of the group appreciate the remarkable achievements made by the current federal government and they want it to continue.

Olatunji said the group will embark on sensitization of eligible voters on the need to come out and vote,  how to cast their vote, shun violence and say no to vote buying.
