Osun Office of Transportation ES, Rejoices With Gov. Oyetola, Deputy

The Executive Secretary, Office of Transportation, Osun State, Engr. Wahab Olayiwola Ibrahim has called for the unalloyed support and cooperation of the people to the new governor, Alhaji Gboyega Isiaka Oyetola and his Deputy, Mr. Benedict Gboyega Alabi by making sure that they obtain and renew their vehicle papers from the agency.

Ibrahim who made this known in his Congratulatory message to the governor copies of which were made available to Daybreak news in Osogbo noted that, for Governor Oyetola to make meaningful achievement in office, people must demonstrate their complete support and prayer as part of their own responsibilities to the government.

His word, “Citizenry should cooperate with the new governor in the task of consolidating on the infrastructural development and economic buoyancy of the state.

Having Governor Oyetola at the helms of affairs in the state is a good omen towards the demonstration of developmental projects for the betterment of the people across the state” the Executive Secretary said.

Meanwhile, the ES, Office of Transportation has called for adequate support from the people of the state in order to avert road calamities during the yuletide period that is nearer.

The Executive Secretary who reiterated the readiness of his officers and men in ensuring safety on the roads before, during and after the festivals enjoined people to go to their offices across the state for their all vehicle particulars like, “Vehicle license, roadworthiness with back-up hackney permit (for commercial vehicles only), insurance, proof of ownership, change of ownership, Number plate, heavy duty permit, (for trucks) and driver license”.

He admonished every vehicle owners to ensure that their vehicles are mechanically roadworthy, stated further that the Office of Transportation will not tolerate any arbitrary parking of vehicles along the roads in the state while urging motorist without his/her valid vehicle documents to urgently go for the renewal of every vehicle particulars including procurement of number plates.

According to him, the Office of Transportation is also mandating the Harmonised Okada Groups, the ACOMORAN and MTVN to always wear the reflective jackets while vehicle owners and all road users in the state should ensure compliance with all traffic rules and regulations.

Ibrahim, however, warned the entire staff of the agency not to involve in any corruption practice saying that adequate sanctions would be melted to any of the staff found guilty of any corrupt act.
