OYOSUBEB Chair, Adeniran, Mourns Koleoso

The Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB), Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Chief Michael Koleoso.

In a statement released on Thursday, Adeniran described the late Chief Koleoso, former national chairman of the Alliance for Democracy (AD), as a forthright politician and true patriot.

Adeniran praised Chief Koleoso for his boldness, open-mindedness, and unwavering support for just causes. He extended his condolences to the Emi Abata Dynasty of Saki in the Oke Ogun area of Oyo State and to Pa Koleoso’s immediate family.

“Chief Michael Koleoso was a thoroughbred progressive and a selfless leader whose immense contributions were pivotal during his tenure as Chairman of Ibadan Southwest Local Government between 1999 and 2002,” Adeniran said.

He reflected on Koleoso’s significant impact on the AD, noting, “His contributions during the time when I served as Executive Chairman of Ibadan South-West Local Government, and later as the Secretary to the Government, were invaluable. Chief Koleoso’s support was instrumental during my formative years in politics.”

Adeniran further highlighted Koleoso’s honesty and integrity. “While death is inevitable, we deeply regret losing someone who made such positive contributions,” he added.

He concluded by honoring the Saki-born politician and former Secretary to the Oyo State Government, noting that he had written his name in gold as an exemplary leader. “I commiserate with the Koleoso family and pray that God grants eternal rest to the soul of Babalaje. Goodnight, sir.”
