The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (OYOSUBEB) has announced the release of names for 5,600 newly recruited primary school teachers and 80 caregivers in the state.

The announcement was made by the SUBEB Chairman, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, in Ibadan. He stated that the list received formal approval from the Oyo State Governor, Engr. ‘Seyi Makinde.

According to Dr. Adeniran, these newly engaged teachers and caregivers represent the first batch of successful applicants from the recent recruitment exercise conducted by OYOSUBEB.

Applicants have been advised to check the list by visiting the job portal at [www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng](https://www.jobportal.oyostate.gov.ng). The list will be available for review starting Saturday, November 23, 2024.

The Chairman also noted that all 5,600 teaching applicants and 80 caregivers would undergo a verification exercise at the Board’s headquarters. The dates for the verification process, along with other relevant information, will be communicated to successful candidates in due course.

Dr. Adeniran emphasized that the recruitment process was conducted without political, religious, ethnic, or gender bias, ensuring a merit-based selection.

He urged the newly recruited teachers to view their employment as a significant responsibility, encouraging them to be diligent and dedicated in their roles.

The SUBEB Chairman further assured that the recruitment exercise would continue, with more successful applicants to be employed in the future.
