Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), publicly addressed allegations linking him to a ₦1.5 billion fraud during the December 4 session of his “Next Level Prayers.”
Social media users circulated the accusations, which claim that he engaged in fraudulent real estate dealings and received large sums of money in his accounts. Responding to these claims, Pastor Idowu firmly denied any involvement in property transactions.
“I do not own any property in Nigeria apart from the one my late parents left for me,” he clarified. “I do not engage in the business of buying or selling properties.”
The pastor also dismissed claims that billions of naira were deposited into his accounts. He stated, “My account is public. Anyone can verify if I have ever received such amounts. I did not.”
Pastor Idowu acknowledged the widespread attention surrounding the allegations and expressed gratitude to those offering support.
“I want to thank all of you who have shown love. We are victorious,” he said, maintaining optimism despite the ongoing situation.
He also addressed the public scrutiny, remarking, “As you are reading it, I’m also reading it, like wow.”
Reports from Pulse Nigeria indicated that police had questioned Pastor Idowu in connection with the allegations. A senior officer revealed that the investigation focuses on alleged fraudulent real estate activities and money laundering.
The allegations have gained significant attention, and Pastor Idowu encouraged anyone with evidence to present it. Authorities continue to investigate the matter.
