The popularity of the APC in Goronyo Town has suddenly dwarfed the ruling party PDP. The APC is inching bracingly towards terminating the almost eight years reign of the ruling PDP and Some months of NNPP in the area.
The PDP, NNPP are already disturbed by the gale of defection of its members to the APC. The defection is already causing a panic disorder in both parties PDP and NNPP.
The acceptance of APC received from Goronyo people was very alarming, considering people are embracing the party, taking it to their homes, hamlets, units, villages.
As massive defection continues in the state and hits Goronyo PDP and APC Gubernatorial Candidate Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu together with his Deputy Gubernatorial candidate Alh Idris Muhammad Gobir Danchadi, East Senatorial Candidate Alhaji Ibrahim Lamido Isa, APC State Chairman Alhaji Isah Sadiq Achida , North West APC Zonal Barr Bello Muhammad Goronyo, North West women leader Hajiya Hadiza Ahmed Shagari, and Alhaji Kabiru Sarkin Fulani, Ahmed Aminu Tafida Gohe, Barr Gandi Umar Muhammad mni Esq, Alhaji Bashiru Nuhu, Alhaji Isah Aliyu Sanda, Alhaji Alh Sanusi Zamau, Alhaji Aminu Sani Liman, Mubarak Mohd, Bello Kado, Bashar Abubakar MC, Daddy Ali Musa, , Hajiya Rabi Abubakar Tudun Wada, Hon, Nasiru Ladan, Hon Ya’u Muhammad Danda, Alhaji Chika Waziri Junaidu, Mal Nafi’u Malami Danhaja, Baba MD Manir M Shehu, Alhaji Sani Aliyu Garge and Faruku Soccer.
Others are APC stalwarts in the area and the state in general had received nine thousand eight hundred (9,800) of PDP, NNPP members in Goronyo town who defected from their former party PDP to APC change in Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
