Plateau Gov Simon Lalong flags off campaign

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole, and Mr Chibuike Amaechi, the Director-General of Buhari Campaign Organisation at the weekend `stormed’ Jos, the Plateau state capital, to flag-off the re-election campaign of Gov. Simon Lalong.

Our correspondent reports that Sen. George Akume and Mr Hadi Serika were also at the campaign.

The event which took place at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium, was filled to its capacity with party supporters.

National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC Comrade Adams Oshiomhole who spoke at the occasion accused the People Democratic Party PDP for deceiving Nigerians during their 16 years administration.

He also accused the Presidential Candidate of the PDP Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of making move to deceived Nigerians again.

He urged Nigerians not to be deceived by the PDP failures, saying the APC is the only administration that will take Nigerians to the next level.

“Former Vice President Atiku has started deceiving Nigerians that he will make Nigeria work again, how when he is amongst those looted our treasury”.

The National Chairman also blamed the Past PDP administration of former Governor Jang in Plateau turning civil servants to become slaves in the state.

He commended Lalong for transforming Plateau State and call on all Plateau Citizens to vote for President Buhari and Lalong come 16th February, and 3rd March, 2019.

According to her, voting her husband back in 2019 will mean well for Nigerians, saying he will continue with fixing Nigeria right.

She however pledged that women and youths of Plateau State will be given priority by the Buhari administration as he has done on the Social Investment programme.

Speaking on behalf of the National Assembly members, former Governor of Benue State and Senator Representing Benue Zone B Sen. George Akume, said President Buhari has no private jet and foreign Account, but all those contesting with him has private jet and foreign Accounts.

According to him, Lalong has performed better for Plateau state and needed to be voted back.

“I wish Governor Lalong can be transfer to Benue State to substitute Mr Ortom who has refuse to pay civil servants in the state and turn them to be slaves”.

“Governor Lalong is Mr Infrastructure, I think we will bring Ortom, to Jos and take Lalong to Benue, because he has performed a positively and stands qualified to be reelected”.

The Director General of the Buhari Campaign organisation Rt. Hon. Rotimi Ameachi also while Speaking during the flag off said PDP is a party for the rich while APC is the party for the poor.

He accused the PDP of looting the Country treasury for 16 years, ” PDP are making mockery of themselves, they are now saying APC has brought hunger to the country, but if PDP had left the billion dollars Nigerians wouldn’t be hungry, they are all thief’s let them bring back our looted funds.

He call on Nigerians to ensure the reelection of President Buhari and Governor Lalong not to allowed the PDP deceived them.

Governor Simon Lalong on his part pledge that the State is ever ready to deliver APC, saying the state is APC and there is no any party that can stand the APC in the state.

“As far as Plateau State is concern, I have not seen any Political party in the state that will stand with APC, even though some people called themselves Boys, but i am a man and already over 50 Political parties had adopted APC in the state for all the Elections”.

The flag off witness the reception of Ambassador Chris Giwa to the APC amongst others.

Also, members of the Plateau State Executive Council and members of the state House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Mr Joshua Madaki, were present.
