APC Progressive Youth Congress a group in Jos has raised an alarm over what they described as plot by the former Governor of the state Bar Simon Lalong to allegedly expel prominent figures of the Party in the state for alleged anti Party activities in other to deny them the opportunities of making the list of potential Federal appointees by the Bola Tinubu led Presidency.
President of the APC group Comrade Prince Miaphen in a press release in Jos , said We want to call the attention of the National Leadership of the APC of the calculated attempt to suspend or expel prominent figures of the Party in the state for alleged anti Party activities in other to deny them of the opportunities of making the list of potential Federal appointees by the Tinubu led Presidency.
The statement alleged that “They have mandated various ward Chairmen to come up with a list of those they tagged to have done anti Party activities ,names have been drafted by the former Governor Lalong and his cohorts all in the name to ensure that those seeking for Government appointments at the national are suspended inorder to pave way for just himself and his cohorts .
According to the leader of the group Prince Miaphen ,names of people to be suspended includes Dame Pauline Tallen, Chief Jushua Dariye, Hon Komsol longgap, Sen Nora Daduut, Hon Yatmuk Alhassan, Chief Amos Gizo ,Hon Lumumba DA , Sunday Biggs , Sapreya Danyaro among many others.
He said Unfortunately, rather than the Lalong’s leadership to lick it’s wounds from the self inflicted injuries it brought to the entire APC family on the plateau and looking for a house keeping methodology and reconciliatory moves to further unite the party they are shamelessly working towards tearing the Party the more.
Let it be said clearly that any calculated attempt to illegally suspend these personalities for selfish interest would be resisted strongly by majority of our faithful and loyal Party men on the plateau and environs.
Let it be on record that these personalities did not only Delivered their respective wards for President Tinubu but also personally financed the Party activities in their respective local government and the state at large as against those that collected huge amounts of monies from the National Party and the Presidential Candidate but failed to deliver same back home leading to their woeful performances in the entire state.
We therefore urge the party at the National level to be weary of their antics…
The group also called on the National leadership of the Party to caution and call the state chapter to order for failing to provide leadership before, during and after the general elections.
They should know that gone are they days when stakeholders meetings are only done in government house excluding key party stakeholders at the state and national levels. Rather than looking inward and calling for an expanded stakeholders meeting to chart a way forward, they are allowing themselves to be used to cause more divisions within the rank of the party.
