Plateau Land Administration Committee Continues Fact-finding Tour, Visits Shendam and Langtang South

The plateau state high-powered committee on lands administration, led by it’s chairman barrister isaac dimka, yesterday visited shendam local government council as part of their ongoing tour to verify and authenticate complaints and petitions on land issues.

The committee was warmly received by transition committee chairman hon. Dr. Nicholas nshe and his management team.

Dr. Nshe commended the government’s selection of accomplished committee members and assured them of his full support. He also emphasized the importance of governance in ensuring peaceful coexistence and adding value to humanity.

The committee also payed a condolence visit to the family of hrh miskoom martin shaldas, and the gamai nation and were received by the madaki shendam, over the loss of a family member.

The committee chairman informed his royal highness that they were on a tour to physically verify petitions it received from different local governments. Subsequently, the committee was also in nyak ajikamai were they visited the district head mr. Longpol miskoom bootna’an.

At the palace , residents raised concerns about compensation on the land where the federal polytechnic is sited and pleaded with the committee to inform government of their plight.

Barr. Dimka also interfaced with the land owners and their legal counsel assuring them that the committee have heard from them will recommend to government for further necessary action.

The tour also took the committee to the over fifty (500) hectares gagnim farms located in langtang south ,used by the university of jos for the cultivation of plants and. Crops for research purposes.

They were received at the farms by the manager mr. Jimam ibrahim nimchang who reported issues of land encroachment and sought for government intervention to avert further encroachments.
